In the beginning...
Sylvia Kelly and Kay Ingham jointly run and own Happy Days Childcare Service.
Happy Days Creche was established in 1980 as St. Pius’s Playgroup. The playgroup was based in St. Pius’s National School, covering the Terenure and Templeogue area for eight years. The playgroup then moved premises to Terenure to facilitate it's continuing growth. In 2000 we purchased and developed a purpose built childcare facility in the Greenpark area of Walkinstown. Since then we have been providing quality childcare to the Walkinstown, Templeogue, Ballymount and surrounding areas.
Happy Days Creche today...
Currently we have sixteen highly qualified staff members, of whom three are part-time staff. We have been approved by the Health Board since the inception of the Childcare Act.
We offer full-day care, pre-school and after-school facilities to children from 3 months to 11 years. Our childcare service is focused on working together with parents to cater for children on an emotional, social, physical and intellectual level.
